Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have repelled coordinated Boko Haram attacks on Monguno and Bitta in Borno State, killing several insurgents, including a top commander of the terrorists and the group’s cameraman.
Papers News reports that the development was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Captain Reuben Kovangiya.
Kovangiya said the troops displayed gallantry by engaging the terrorists with superior firepower, effectively foiling their infiltration attempt into Monguno.
