Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima has summoned the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, and all members of the commission’s board to an urgent meeting amid mounting concerns over the management of preparations for the 2025 Hajj.
The meeting, scheduled to hold at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Vice President’s Conference Room, was confirmed in a letter signed by Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President (Office of the Vice President). The letter directed Usman to attend the briefing alongside all board members and to present a short report on the commission’s preparedness and unresolved issues concerning the upcoming Hajj.
