WAEC suspends access to 2025 WASSCE results over technical error in Maths, English, Biology and Economics

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the suspension of access to the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates following the discovery of technical errors in Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and Economics during an internal review.


The examination body disclosed this in a statement signed by Moyosola Adesina, Acting Head of Public Affairs, and issued on Thursday from its headquarters in Yaba, Lagos.


According to the Council, the glitch was linked to a new security feature known as paper serializatio, which was deployed in these key subjects as part of its anti-exam malpractice strategy.
