The Presidency has cautioned Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, against playing to the gallery, warning the former Anambra governor to watch his utterances.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, gave the cautionary advice on Tuesday, following Obi’s remarks about democratic governance in Nigeria.
Speaking at the 60th birthday colloquium for former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, in Abuja on Monday, Obi claimed that progress made since the nation’s return to civilian rule in 1999 has been eroded.
