The World Bank has approved a $1.08 billion package to support Nigeria’s education system, fight malnutrition, and boost community resilience.
This funding, which includes both new and additional resources, aims to address the country’s key challenges, particularly those worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic and economic pressures, with a focus on aiding vulnerable groups.
The package allocates $500 million in additional funding for the NG-CARES Program, $80 million for the Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria, and another $500 million for the Hope for Quality Basic Education for All program.
