We’re working on boosting cocoa quality, others to world standard — Johnvents Group

John Alamu, the group managing director of Johnvents Group, a multinational agribusiness and manufacturing group, has described as important and necessary, the need for improvement in the quality of the cocoa produce in Nigeria to meet the world standards as the price soars.


Alamu, while speaking on the quality of Nigeria cocoa and other farm produce, in a statement made available to BusinessDay on Tuesday, therefore, revealed that the efforts to improve on their production led to the acquisition of Premium Cocoa Products (Ile-Oluji), Ondo State, Nigeria’s oldest cocoa processing plant with a 30,000 MT capacity by Johnvents Group.


According to Alamu, Johnvents Group has been working on improving the quality of Nigeria cocoa and other produce overtime for their acceptability in the world market.
