Wike Issues Dismissal Warning Over Waste Mismanagement, Sets Road Project Deadlines

The minister issued the ultimatum Friday following an inspection tour of infrastructure projects in FCT satellite towns, including Karshi, Bwari, and Kubwa. The visit was designed to evaluate progress on President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda initiatives in the capital.


The inspection took a tense turn when Wike encountered a large refuse pile along the Orozo-Karshi road. Visibly displeased, the minister adopted a firm position on accountability, declaring his readiness to take decisive action.


He stressed that officials responsible for waste management failures in Karshi or Bwari would face consequences by Monday, as the administration refuses to tolerate practices that obstruct development.
