Jimrawa residents protest in Gusau, criticize Gov Lawal for neglecting security crisis while holidaying abroad

The villagers, mostly peasant farmers, have been displaced from their homes for nearly two years due to persistent attacks by armed bandits.

In a statement signed unbehalf of the residents, Muhammed Ibrahim Jimrawa, said “Our farmlands, now fully occupied by the criminals, remain inaccessible even in the middle of the rainy season – a crucial period for agricultural activities.
