The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has reaffirmed his commitment to serving as a governor for all, not a sectional leader, insisting that his administration’s projects and appointments are guided by fairness, balance, and a long-term vision for the state.
Quoting Section 176(2) of the 1999 Constitution, which defines the governor as the chief executive of the entire state, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, said Okpebholo has consistently demonstrated a detribalised approach to governance.
The statement read, “He has shown through both words and actions that he is a leader who sees Edo as one indivisible entity. Leadership for him is about building bridges, correcting historical neglect, and laying a foundation for sustainable growth.”
